Description

The reward of dance is not money or fame.

It’s intoxication - drunk on creativity.

-Robertson Jeffers

Bare Bones is a dance meditation for building our own unique movement language that shows us how to articulate the innate symphony of wisdom and expression waiting just below our skin.

In Open Floor the bare bones of practice is focused on 10 Universal Core Movement Resources; such as Ground, Towards and Away, or Release.

These body based resources are the nourishing support we need for our physical health, emotional intelligence, sustaining an open creative mind and finding our own depth of meaning in who we are, who we are with and what we value.

Bare Bones work reminds us that all of life is in movement and that we can move with it. Through establishing ourselves as dancers in this way we understand our engagement with the world is a constant negotiation. We learn to find ease, joy, and resiliency on a moving continuum from fixed to fluid.

These are the relational dances that we do all the time – bare bones practice is in service of our doing them fully empowered.
