Encounter Fundamentals

Find your own Light

Taught by: Christine Havens

June 20-25, 2017

Tuesday starts at 3pm, end Sunday at noon

Description

"There is something about you brighter than the sun and more mysterious than the night sky.” --- Adyashanti

This is the 20th year for the Aldermarsh residential. Enter the natural beauty of Aldermarsh and deeply renew yourself.  Within this peaceful sanctuary, we will share 6 days dancing together.  We will explore through Open Floor dance practices and Encounter Fundamentals, what it is to "find your own light" - Buddha

The week’s intentions are:

  • to loosen our attachment to rigid ideas of self.
  • to work with intention, focus and then opening into dissolve.
  • to move through the endless dance of awareness, seeing how appearance arise and disappear, freeing ourselves from believing that our happiness is contingent upon anything other than our own awareness.
  • to stay present to our soul’s movement, finding that place of emptiness where we really are what Adyashanti calls ”emptiness dancing .”

With the Open Floor Encounter process we will make what we feel and think inside, physically visible. We will come to understand how our actions impact others and their actions impact us. As we expand our emotional intelligence, we know there is an interdependence to being human; therefore, there is no such thing as a person having just an individual experience.
