Every Thursday - 7-9pm
For centuries, people have used meditation to move beyond the mind’s stress producing thoughts into mindful awareness. There are many meditation techniques and on the Open Floor we have a simple form—we sit, we walk, and we dance in cycles.
Refuge offers us a place to gather each week and practice resting into the non-doing to see what happens. This is how we build the resilience to respond rather than react to our internal and external stressors. As the quiet voice inside becomes more accessible, life is more spacious, we make better choices, and we have the capacity to meet the unexpected with curiosity.
Requested prerequisite: 20 hours of instructed movement practice (Open Floor, Soul Motion, 5Rhythms®, Movement Medicine, Tai Chi, Yoga, etc.)
Fee: Drop-in: $20/class, Students and seniors (over 65) with ID: $15/class or purchase a 6-pack of Vouchers for $100. All fees are paid at the door. If you sign up for our email and/or text list you will get the seconf class free!
Please note: no admission after 7:20pm
What to bring: Water bottle, Meditation Cushion or Pillow, Layers to keep you warm
