The OFI teacher training is based on universal movement resources that can be applied to any setting and provide a solid map to navigate this human experience. It is a practice with a foundation on psychotherapy that cultivates emotional intelligence, resilience and helps us move from habit to conscious choice, creating new pathways and providing resources using the wisdom of our body.
The training has deepened my understanding of the embodied experience and supported me to introduce the practice within corporate settings and organizations of different types such as Google, Piraeus Bank, Quest Holdings, tech conferences, local NGOs with a positive impact.
Having worked as a marketing director for large organizations for 15 years, I can directly relate to the challenging nature of these settings and I believe that conscious movement is a creative and highly engaging way to enhance collaboration, unlock group creativity and support workspace wellbeing.
On a personal level, the training and practice showed me ways to be more resourced when facing challenges on the physical, emotional, mental level and helped me cultivate a deeper connection to my intuitive self.
After 15 years as a management consultant and top-level marketing executive in large organizations in New York, London and Athens, Myrto Legaki qualified as a mindfulness and MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) instructor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Center for Mindfulness as developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, and Mindful Schools instructor for mindfulness to children and adolescents. She is also training in the systemic psychotherapeutic approach at the Athenian Institute of Anthropos. She teaches Open Floor Movement Practice in Athens, Greece.
