“We are meant to midwife dreams for one another. Success occurs in clusters.” Julia Cameron
This online, on-going group includes 5 webinars and an online workshop blending dance and art making.
In Dance Your Art Out we will nurture our creative confidence, using easy-to-do art techniques. When we strengthen our artistic habits, our creative aliveness can flourish and have far reaching impacts on our lives, dreams, dinner plates, wardrobes, relationships, passions and problem solving skills. Whether you love expressing yourself through art or think you don’t have a creative bone in your body, you’re welcome.
A Online Group with Fortnightly Webinars
Dance Your Art Out is an on-going group that meets every fortnight over a period of 3 months. Each term kicks off with an online workshop which is open to all and a prerequisite for new members (unless you’ve been to one of Sarah’s Art in Motion workshops).
The webinars include drawing and dancing, inspired by the Open Floor ‘Core Movement Resources’ to broaden our perspective and catalyse our insight of our own creative process. There will be a space on Facebook to share daily Art Journaling and two live “Show & Tell” salons everyone is invited to and a few people can showcase their creative journey. Each webinar has suggestions for exercises and suggested music for home dancing. Webinars are recorded for those who can’t attend live. We meet on an easy-to-use platform called ‘Zoom’ and a private Facebook group in between.
Creative Practice: suggested time allocation off approx 1 hr / week in your own time.
Pre-requisites: New members are required to attend the online workshop (https://www.facebook.com/events/2007670622612569/) at the beginning of term unless they have attended an Art in Motion workshop with Sarah Davies.
With online workshop – £165 / £121 (concession and OFI teachers/trainees)
Without online workshop £72 / £66 (concession and OFI teachers/trainees)

Human beings are born to move. With dance we thrive! Regular movement builds muscular and emotional intelligence – people who dance grow more flexible, confident, capable of intimacy, and resourceful in the face of change. A regular movement practice can keep mind body and spirit supple, and help us to remain curious and flexible with whatever life brings.
What To Expect?
There are no steps to learn and no way to do it wrong. Each week we will play a diverse range of music to move with. Invitations and creative enquiries will be offered, movement resources explored. All you need to bring is a willingness to move, with and for yourself, with others, and in growing, supportive community.
Becca and Killian share a passion for creative, expressive movement, and dance movement as therapy. With years of embodied dance experience, they bring a playful sensitivity and compassionate curiosity to their teaching. Becca and Killian will teach alternate weeks.
Place: Waterloo Action Centre is 2 mins from Waterloo Station.
Cost: £10 (£7 concessions).

An Open Floor fundamental body language class for beginners and oldies alike.
This workshop is an invitation to explore the value of coming back to our bodies and our senses over and over and of stabilizing our attention and presence in our daily activities. It is a simple reminder through the practice of using all the different parts of our bodies of the possibility of being fully present when we marry body language with mindful awareness.
We will use the fundamental simplicity of the embodied movement meditation practice of Open Floor to root us deeply in our bodies as we explore simply being present.
Fee: 85 Euros

A place to meet ourselves; tender and outrageous, the tiny enormous feelings and expand our capacity to relate.
Open Floor is a mindful movement practice engaging our embodied awareness and curiosity while cultivating surrender into the meditation of now. This can be contained or messy, vital and spontaneous or restrained and considered…each week is a chance to change the channel.
Ease into the stuck places from a toe or a tendril…
Tracking our sensations, witnessing ourselves and each other with objectivity, and exploring life through our physicality from a variety of polarities, we welcome observation, reflection and different points of view.
We may remain in our own space throughout the session, or engage with other participants, we may use writing or verbal expression or play with images, and color. Opening the lens of our perception we develop resources that support a greater thriving in life. Yes everything is stored in our bodies, and whatever arises is met in an integrative way, we can explore places that may have always inhibited or felt limiting to our full presence.
The simplest perspectives when offered through consciousness can transform what may have been lifelong issues.
