Jaime Howell is a musician, story teller, rite of passage developer and international Meditation/Open Floor teacher. He is a director of community led rites of passage events both here in Aotearoa and in Brazil.Jaime is the Director of Opening Minds, an organisation dedicated to nourishing the seeds of wisdom and compassion here in c, New Zealand. He is a graduate of a three year school of mindfulness/meditation who went on to spend another three years as the resident practitioner at the Wangapeka Study and Retreat Centre. Jaime has a Masters in Education.Jaime major offerings involve developing and offering subsidised residential meditation/open floor retreats for young adults to access the kinds of resources they need for embodied leadership.He passionately involved in mens work, carrying a poetic musical torch for helping humans of all ages find their innate abilities to move well in the spirit of the Great Turning.For the past three years Jaime has created and delivered 4-6 week residential mindfulness retreats for young adults aged 18-30. He developed the Calm Clear Creative Mindfulness Teacher Training, supported by The Doctors Motueka that won the National Care Award 2018.He is currently working to offer a three year international school of Wisdom and Compassion for young adults. He is one of only a few males (the only one in the NZ training) qualified to offer Open Floor conscious movement practice.
