Virginia Wright has extensive nonprofit management and consulting experience. Her firm Wright Consulting has provided strategic thinking, marketing, and fundraising services to nonprofit organizations throughout the Monterey Bay and Silicon Valley regions, and community-based art and cultural plans for cities in Northern California and Nevada. Her management experience includes serving as Executive Director at the Santa Cruz Symphony; Development Director at Community Bridges, MAPS and Carmel Bach Festival; Associate Director at Arts Council Silicon Valley; and Office Manager at the Global Fund for Women.
She received her BA in International Relations from San Francisco State University, and her MBA from Santa Clara University. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and Standards for Excellence Licensed Consultant. Her early years were spent pursuing a career in dance on both coasts. Her passion is helping arts, cultural and social change organizations build capacity so that healthy new ideas and ways of being can become established in the world.
