Geash has devoted much of her life to creative embodied exploration. She has been dancing the 5Rhythms since 1999 and was trained by Gabrielle Roth to teach in 2008. She qualified as an Open Floor teacher in 2017. Born and bred in Aotearoa NZ currently she teaches in a thriving dance community where she is living in Byronshire, Australia. Her intuitive, inclusive style holds an intimate and sacred space, inviting a deep exploration into embodied presence. Geash takes her work into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation therapeutic community where it is incredibly well received. Her classes have been popular at Byron Spirit Festival, UpLift, Sex and Consciousness conference’s, Splendor in the Grass, Rainbow Serpent, Earth Freq and Prana Festivals. Geash is a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP) ~ a body awareness approach to resolving trauma, developed by Peter A. Levine. A Sexological Bodyworker® ~ somatic erotic education that assists individuals, couples and groups to deepen their experience of embodiment. A life long student. Through a relentless love of learning and passion for embodied freedom she has completed Donna Farhi’s Advanced Yoga Teacher Training and worked as an assistant teacher for Donna’s yoga intensives in New Zealand and Australia. Her practice is enriched with her evolving embodiment of Vanda Scaravelli’s offering to the yoga world… following the innate intelligence of the body to unfold and open into a more connected, comfortable, beautiful place to be. She’s studied intensively with Diane Long and Louise Simmons. Also deeply informed by her respected teacher and inspiration Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen and Body-Mind-Centering. Geash loves to work with people from all walks of life, backgrounds and abilitites. She spent 5 years living in the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland working with the youth. She is passionate about community building, sustainability and how we can awaken alongside each other to our fullest potential.
