I became an Open Floor Movement teacher in 2016. I am a working member who serves on the EPC (Educational Programing Circle) and I am the OL (Operational Lead) of the Mentor Circle. I am also a 5Rhythms® Teacher taught by Gabrielle Roth. I am on the board of the ICMTA (International Conscious Movement Teachers Assoc.) I have been a professional performer for 35 years. As an actress, I have performed on Broadway, toured internationally, and have extensive credits in theater, film and television. I received my MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program. Presently, I am a senior faculty member in the Theater School at California Institute of the Arts, where I have been teaching Movement for Actors full-time for the past 19 years. I have previously taught in the theater schools at Hunter College (CUNY) and Colorado College. As a yogini, I have been studying and teaching yoga for over 30 years. I am a certified instructor and specialize in Integral Hatha, Kundalini, Vinyasa Flow, and Yoga Works style yoga. I have participated in and facilitated circles throughout my life (a Buddhist meditation group, a secular meditation group, Intenders of the Highest Good, Goddess ceremonies, a women’s writing group, a women’s book group, an NVC practice group…). Several sublime master teachers have taught me, though my greatest teachings have come from my two (now grown) children. I continue to stay challenged by my partner of twelve years, Carsten Holz, who I met on the dance floor and who is also an Open Floor teacher.
