We are very happy that you are here and that you made the choice to dive deeper into movement and embodiment.


The Ground Floor Lab is an intensive, experiential, 30-hour exploration of the Open Floor curriculum. During this 6-day residential program you will dive deep into different areas of the Open Floor practice and acquire skills that you can use in your movement practice, your personal life and your professional life.


And if you are interested, this can be a first step on to the Open Floor Teacher Training.

Our Producer

Maude is an Open Floor teacher who is passionate about dance, creativity, and group dynamics, and concerned about the state of the world. She devotes her energy to ecological and human transitions that must also involve personal and collective transformations and to bring more movement in the world.

The pricing structure of the Ground Floor Lab aligns with Open Floor’s value of inclusivity. There are differences among our participants geographically, in social status, and privilege. We offer more flexible and inclusive price options to embody economic justice.

  • Regular price: 800 euros / 1225 € incl room & board 
  • Generous price: 1000 euros / 1425 €  incl room & board
  • Subsidised price: 650 euros / 1075 € incl room & board
  • Inclusive price: 500 euros / 925 € incl room & board
 
Crew: 390 €

Understanding our prices:
 
  • Regular price: this is the price that enables us to pay for all costs for the team (2 trainers, 2 assistants, an organiser, a crew of 5) and to support Open Floor International, our educational non-profit organisation financially. Please choose this price if you can afford it. 
  • Generous price: this enables us to offer inclusive prices for others. If you can afford it, your support will be very much appreciated.
  • Subsidised price: this price covers basic costs. We offer this so that people who are enthusiastic about the Open Floor curriculum can participate, even if they can’t afford the regular price.
  • Inclusive price: there are only 5 spots. This price is for you if you really cannot afford the other prices and you are passionate about Open Floor.

  • 50 hours of instructed study in Embodied Movement Practices*

    To support your understanding of the Open Floor curriculum, it is highly recommended that some of those hours be in Open Floor Movement Practice.  If there is none available in your area, you can find online offerings in our calendar of events.  You can also further familiarize yourself with Open Floor Movement Practice by reading through the curriculum material

    *includes Yoga, Tai Chi, Alexander Technique, Somatic Experiencing, Feldenkrais as well as Movement Meditation/Conscious Dance Practices such as: Open Floor, Soul Motion, Movement Medicine, 5Rhythms, freedomDANCE, ZeroOne, 360 Emergence, Azul, BISO, Tamalpa, Continuum, Laban, Biodanza
